Located to the north of Kathmandu valley, Langtang trek is one of the shortest and wonderful treks offering you stunning mountain vista of the northern part of the country, popular for exploring of unique amalgamation of culture of Hyolmo, Tamang, Sherpa, Bhutia, whose religious practices, languages and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet. Located to the north of of Kathmandu valley, close to the border with Tibet, China, The trekking to the Langtang region is one of the shortest and wonderful treks in Nepal. Langtang trek fairly takes you to the Langtang valley, a narrow and mountain valley nestled between the main Himalayan range to the north, and snowy peaks to the south, offering you stunning mountain vista. You be amazed with views of mighty Langtang Lirung (7,246 m) which is just right in front of you, to the north, when you are at Langtang valley, and other smaller peaks--namely Ganjala Pass (5,122 m), Gang Chhenpo (6,388 m), and other trekking peaks of Naya Kangri (5,846 m), Dorge Lakpa (6,989 m) to name a few. Langtang trek is one of the most popular among the clients of Adventure Gaurishankar Trek and Expedition.

The Langtang region trekking is solely protected by one of the Nepal's largest National--Langtang National Park officially established in 1976. This park is the home of red panda, Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, wild dog, Ghoral, and more than 250 species of endangered birds and various flora and fauna. Apart from these aforementioned, another major attraction of the Langtang trek is the sacred alpine lakes of Gosainkunda located at 4,380 m height, and no doubt the charming settlement of various ethnic groups including Sherpa, Hyolmo, Bhotiya (Tibetan origin people), Tamang, whose religious practices, languages and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet. Similarly, you will also have an opportunity to explore the Buddhist monastery--Kyanjin Gompa, pass through terraced farmland, steamy forest of pine, bamboo, and rhododendron, yak pastures, which really offers you dazzling views of incredible landscapes stretching to the Tibetan border.

Langtang trek begins with one day drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi and then trek continues through larch and rhododendron forests, which is rich in wild flowers and birds, and head off to the Langtang valley getting close to the glacier system, then we climb up nearby peak for amazing mountain views. And you will pass alongside of the holy lake Gosaikunda and enter Helambu via the Laurebina pass (4,610 m). On the way, you will have superb views of the mountains and then pass through the sub-tropical jungle and enter into upper Langtang valley, finally after making an excursion around Langtang region, you will retrace back to Syabrubensi village then continue your trekking to holy Gosainkund lake, crossing Gosainkund pass (4,610 m), you will continue south leaving the Langtang region and finally you will reach at Helambu valley and subsequently at Chisapani and return back to Kathmandu.
