Jiri to Everest base camp trek is one of the classic trekking destinations in Nepal. This is the world's most popular trekking trails. The trail had gained popularity ever since, Tenzing Norgey Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary had successful summit to the world's highest peak--Mt. Everest (8,848 m) back in 1953. They had followed this very same route. Following their trip, perhaps millions of trekkers from across the world have so far made it and still thousands of tourists follow this very same trail and reach to the lap of the highest peak, the Everest base camp.

Currently, instead of Jiri, the trek begins from Bhandar, the Sherpa village and the gateway to Everest base camp on foot. It is one of the longest and most adventure trekking trails in Nepal. Because, during the trip, you will have amazing mountain vista, have an opportunity to enjoy with local dishes and delicacies, discover the unique rituals, culture and lifestyles of Sherpa indigenous community living alongside of the trail, explore the Buddhist monasteries, mani, Chhorten, have views of splendid landscapes, steamy jungle full of flora and fauna and more.

The fascinating part of this trekking is that you will have wonderful hike, pass through dazzling landscapes and finally reach to the lap of the Everest, and have amazing views of majestic mountains including of Mt. Amadablam (6,856 m), Mt. Thamserku (6,723 m), Mt. Kantega( 6,685 m), Mt. Lotse (8,516 m) and more. You will no doubt be amazed with the warm hospitality of the friendly Sherpa ethnic groups. This is no doubt an ideal trekking trail, as it goes through the well-developed trekking trails and best suits to those who are fond of taking mountain sceneries and have adventure activities at the same time.

Everest classic trek begins with one day drive from from Kathmandu to Bhandar, the gateway to the Solukhumbu and follows through the classical trails to Everest base camp through lovely forested hills of Solu, along the river banks of Likhu, Bhote Koshi and crosses the Lamjura la pass (3,530 m), Thaksindo and finally the trail takes you to the Everest base camp and making excursion to all the area, you will retrace back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
