Salpa, Silicho and Panch-pokhari eco trail trekking is really an amazing trekking trails in the eastern Nepal. This is an alternative route to two popular trekking trails--Makalu and Everest trek, explored by the team of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN).

This new trekking trail is developed in the lower Solukhumbu, which is yet unexplored area awaiting your arrival. The lower Solukhumbu is no doubt a hidden gem, with its beautiful landscapes; charming settlement of various ethnic groups namely Sherpa, Rai, Gurung and so on. Alongside of the trail, you will have amazing mountain views of Makalu and Everest Himalayan range. Similarly, you will have amazing sunrise and sunset views with the backdrop of majestic Himalayas and have an opportunity to explore the distinct culture, rituals, and lifestyles of Sherpa ethnic groups, famous for summiting highest peaks in Nepal including Mt. Everest, also equally, you will have an opportunity to explore the Buddhist monastery (Gompa) and the highest point of this trek, you will reach at Salpa Bhanjyang, from where you will have amazing views majestic Himalayas in the east. This is a newly explored low altitude trekking, from where you will have an opportunity to explore the charming settlement of Sherpa, Rai and others, their distinct culture and rituals, stroll through serene trail and have amazing views of the majestic mountains, incredible landscapes, sunrise and sunset views with the backdrop of Himalayas and more.

Salpa, Silicho and Panch-pokhari eco trail starts with a short flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu and continue trekking to Budhidanda and then continue to Kurima, Chitre, Ghyangkharka, Runadanda and finally reach at Salpa Bhanjyang and then navigate all around and then continue trekking to Gudel, via Silicho, subsequently trek to Khiraule, Cholemkharka and finally reach at Panch Pokhari and exploring all around, you will continue to Cherem, Kharikhola and finally get back to Lukla through Namche Bazaar and then fly back to Kathmandu.

In coordination with Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN). New trekking trails have been developed and mapped in Lower Solukhumbu. In contrast with Upper Solukhumbu, the Everest Region, Lower Solukhumbu is still unexplored by tourists. It is a hidden gem, with its beautiful landscapes with snowcapped mountains on the background and its authentic villages and homeland of Sherpa people and world’s famous Everest summiteers are from this region and beautiful Gompas. The trails easily connect with the Everest region.

This trek start from Phaplu and ends also same place or you can end it at Lukla also.
